JOIN US ON SUNDAYS!
In the grief, outrage, and disorientation of our time, we are searching for a way to survive the daily onslaught of bad news, just a way to get through.
Yet Jesus offers us a way…a way of love, solidarity, non-violent resistance, and peace.
In the earliest chapters of the church, followers of Jesus were called The Way. Their neighbors recognized them as people who walked a different path—a way of being human together that stood out amid the poverty, violence, and oppression of empire.
You see, Jesus didn’t primarily ask people to agree with him. He went around saying something far more demanding and far more beautiful: “Follow me.” But what did that mean then—and what does it mean now? Jesus wasn't inviting them into a religion, a political bloc, or a set of beliefs to affirm, but rather a way of life. Join us as we seek to orient our everyday lives around a way of love that heals us all.

let's organize to LOVE OUR IMMIGRANT NEIGHBORS!
With recent ICE raids and policies creating fear and instability for many of our immigrant and vulnerable neighbors, it feels important to come together—not just to talk, but to learn how to care for one another in more intentional ways. Rachel Ketola, who is deeply connected to immigration justice work here in Seattle and has been doing research at UW’s Center for Human Rights, will be sharing what’s happening locally and offering concrete ways neighbors can help protect and support our immigrant neighbors. Let's put our love of neighbor into action and organize!
Common Good Mutual Aid
We are neighbors coming together in solidarity to care for one another and resist the systems that keep our communities struggling. Common Good Mutual Aid exists to support vulnerable neighbors, redistribute resources, and embody a vision of collective liberation where everyone belongs and has enough.
Mutual aid is rooted in the belief that neighbors and community members have a duty to take care of one another, recognizing that we each have unique needs, strengths, and resources we can use to support each other. Mutual aid isn’t charity. Instead, it’s based on solidarity, trust, and mutual support.
Mutual aid is the idea that we all share the responsibility of caring for our community. Too often, we have outsourced care to government and institutions that often deeply fail our neighbors. Mutual aid can look like direct cash assistance, grocery and meal distribution, offering a room in your house, asylum-seeking accompaniment, bystander intervention, fundraising for personal care items, or neighborhood projects.
Right now, we are raising funds to buy grocery cards for our neighbors in need and support an immigrant family to secure stable housing and get back on their feet in the face of exorbitant housing costs. But this is just the beginning. As needs arise, we will continue to stand together — sharing resources, resisting isolation, and building a community rooted in abundance rather than scarcity.
When we come together as a community and offer our gifts big and small, there is always more than enough.
