We want to be a welcoming community where followers of Jesus are known for their kindness, generosity and service to others.
We take this call very seriously. You won't hear us talking much about rules or who's in and who's out. We believe that we are all on a journey in coming alive to God; and that in fact, LOVE is the highest law and the grid through which all of the gospel story is to be interpreted. This gives us grace to be exactly where we are. And we think you will find an authenticity here that is genuine and refreshing, giving us all freedom to be on the journey and very much in process. So we hope you can take a deep breath, exhale, and stay awhile.
Our gathering allows us to build community, worship together and encourage each other in the way of Jesus so that we will be empowered to be the church in our everyday lives.

Kids matter.
As a community, we are committed to fostering an environment that values, supports and nurtures the spiritual life of our kids as well as their sense of love and belonging. We want to invite every child into the story of God and into practices that will form them as they participate in the richness of community.
Because of this, we provide programs for kids at our Sunday gathering from nursery through age 10 where they have the opportunity to engage in fun, age-appropriate activities in a safe environment interacting with God's story. Kids are always welcome to worship with us and we encourage kids and youth to engage in the variety of worship and art stations around the room so that the entire community can know and experience the gift of our kids.

The Liturgy of the Table
Working side by side making a meal, breaking bread, eating and sharing conversation around the dinner table, then cleaning up together creates community in a very real way. Deeply connected to the Judeo-Christian tradition is the idea of the sacred meal: we show our bond as a faith community by sitting down to eat together, and we show hospitality to the stranger by cooking for them and inviting them to eat with us. In fact, once they sit down to eat with us and we share of ourselves with each other, they are no longer strangers. "I believe that every time a congregation sits down with someone from whom they would otherwise be divided, justice is made.... To know the other always takes place on the smallest level possible: one human sitting down with another. But in doing so, we encounter something huge: the limitless presence of God." -Pastor Emily Scott |
